Hawai’i-born Kris Mayeshiro’s love of art is only matched by his love of Hawaiian food. He spent much of his time as a kid teaching himself photography and how to draw, with hopes of becoming the next Jim Lee. He was an art major in college before starting his career in advertising at 19 as a production artist, designer and retouch artist for Liberty House (now Macy’s Hawai’i) department stores. After moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, Kris worked in hospitality and entertainment, working on brands such as ARIA, Vdara, Borgata, The Palms, MGM Grand, Caesars Entertainment, Montage and Fontainbleu Miami. As a photographer he’s been published in USA Today, People Magazine, The Las Vegas Review Journal and Dance San Diego Magazine. His work was also featured in Advanced Photoshop Magazine’s Editor’s Choice Gallery Showcase.
An actor and performing artist for most of his life, Kris has worked behind the camera as a director, fight choreographer, camera operator, set photographer and production sound mixer. Because of his love for film and theatre he has been the company photographer for Las Vegas Little Theatre since 2016 and was also the company photographer for Musical Actors Theatre, Inc.
